“The business of skinfood has the potential to become a multibillion-dollar business sector in Africa and unlock a sustainable income source for thousands of women.”

Ifeoma Adibe-Chukwuka is an award-winning entrepreneur and the founder of Omaness Skinfood, a fast-growing indigenous beauty brand that is capitalizing on West Africa’s untapped skinfood treasures to create a variety of nourishing products that cater to the specific needs of the African skin type including men, women and children.

Each Omaness Skinfood product is intentionally crafted in a way that allows the time-honoured African beauty and wellness traditions to be compatible with modern lifestyles in an authentic way.

In the brand’s range which includes cleansers, body buttercreams, toners, masks, serums, healing salves and more, you will find plant oils and herbs like Dogon Yaro, zobo extracts, turmeric root powder, baobab oil, neem seed oil, shea butter and other West-African homegrown skinfood ingredients that are proven to nourish, naturally beautify and treat skin concerns peculiar to the African skin type including uneven skin texture, dry skin, discolouration, eczema, acne and hair disorder.

It is worth noting that Ifeoma didn’t start Omaness Skinfood as a conventional beauty brand, she founded the brand based on her personal desire to use it as a form of empowerment to boost the livelihood and economically enrich the lives of women.

Having spent over a decade working with poor women in underserved communities prior to starting Omaness Skinfood, Ifeoma decided that there was one way to eradicate poverty and create lasting prosperity for local women – use local resources to create valuable products that can enrich the lives of women – and she decided on skinfood.

After developing the Omaness Skinfood product line, Ifeoma set up the Business of Skinfood Program, her company’s unique distribution program with a clear vision to financially empower women through direct selling.

The business of skinfood program offers women the opportunity to make money and build their own direct sales business as skinfood merchants with low startup and overhead costs.

Today, with over 30 skinfood products and more than 100 skinfood merchants (all-women) directly selling Omaness Skinfood products every day, Ifeoma’s 5-year growth plan for the Omaness Skinfood brand is to increase her skinfood merchant presence targeting 500 skinfood merchants across Nigeria by 2024 and 1,000 across Africa and other key markets by 2027

One thing that is clear about Ifeoma’s mission for Omaness Skinfood is to propel the brand and Africa’s indigenous skinfood to the forefront of the global beauty industry and leverage on it to create lasting prosperity for women and economic growth for communities across Africa.
