Debbie Chinasa Collins is an ex-beauty queen, author, businesswoman and confidence coach. She represented Nigeria at the Miss Universe and Miss World pageant in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
She is also an author of a newly published book titled ‘Woman Like The Sea‘ and the Co-founder of a beauty business called ‘Birth From Earth‘. She wants every woman that she comes across, in person, through her writing or products, to feel whole, enough and truly beautiful.
She is currently working on a female-led podcast that will shed light on the different issues women face in the quest to find their authentic selves.
Why She Started Her Beauty Company & Wrote A Book
I started my beauty company and decided to write a book after my stint doing pageantry. I lost my confidence and my true essence to the point where I literally started to hide. I felt insecure and unpretty and did not think I had anything left to offer the world.
It was in that despair that Birth From Earth was born, and through the lessons, I learnt from my experiences, I wrote a book that encapsulated that journey. It is because of that experience that I stand firmly for all women growing in confidence, strength and beauty.
Her Book – Woman Like The Sea
Woman Like The Sea is her first book, which was just recently published. It is a poetry book that touches on femininity, sensuality, beauty, pain and boldness. It encourages women to bask in their essence, teaching them how to captivate their femininity in an unending flow.
She wants every woman that reads this book to feel emboldened to live in her true essence, to feel undeniably beautiful, limitless, strong and soft, because we each have different facets to us and can be anything we choose to become.

Her Beauty Company – Birth From Earth
Birth From Earth is a beauty company whose mission is to create, cruelty-free, effective, thoughtful and natural beauty products that help to improve the overall confidence of the woman so that she can embrace her beauty in whatever hair type she has or skin tone she wears.
She cofounded Birth From Earth in 2017 with her three sisters after they made the difficult decision to switch to a more natural approach to hair care and beauty.
Their creativity prompted them to whip something uniquely fragranced, naturally sourced and custom handmade. Coming from a household where both grandmothers made herbal healing remedies and soaps, they were further inspired to research, test and create Birth from Earth.
They want to re-discover the confident girl and woman, to show her that beauty is a personal decision that blossoms like a tree from within you.
