Ayo Amusan is the Founder and Executive Director at Persianas Retail.
She is responsible for the overall growth and expansion of the company. In addition, Ayo manages high-level stakeholder relationships with global and local partners, and she empowers teams to continuously improve retail operations in Nigeria.
Ayo’s executive management capacity has been developed over 20 years of operational and leadership experience in the Retail, Entertainment, and Real Estate industries.
She has a track record of directing strategies to outperform corporate objectives and gain an advantage in fashion retail, cinema entertainment, and property development.
Before founding Persianas Retail, Ayo worked in financial accounting at a multinational fashion retailer in London for three years. Her vision to grow the Nigerian retail sector is evident in the ventures she undertakes.
She currently serves on the Board of several companies to oversee the development and implementation of both short-and long-term goals. These companies include; Persianas Properties Limited, VIVA Cinema Limited, MAKAYA Limited, Luxury Brands, and Sea View Investments.
Ayo is a Business of Fashion (BoF 500) member and award winner.
She holds a Master’s degree in Risk Management and Insurance from Cass Business School, City University, London, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom.
Ayo Amusan has steered decision-making and focused on international market entry, expansions, integrations, consolidations. She uses culture as a powerful tool for turnaround and crisis management.
