A few years ago, I discovered a secret from my baby sister about periods.
According to her, on hot nights when the idea of wearing pads feels unbearable, she allows the blood to flow on old underwear or clothes, which she will wash later in the morning.
Yuck, right? Same here, but when you talk about anything that brings me sweet relief, I am so into it. Especially on spotting nights, you can imagine the stress of wearing a pad to bed on a hot night only just to find a drop or two on your pad the next morning. This is not to even mention the hike in the prices of sanitary products.
Back to my story, my sister indulged me and I gave in to this idea and began to practice it.
Recently, I stumbled on an article on free bleeding online. I read the article and discovered that my sister’s idea has a name, it has been conceptualized!
There, I read stories of women who practised and enjoyed the idea of free bleeding. I was super happy I wasn’t alone in this free bleeding game.
Recently, I discovered the idea of selling a lot of things: pieces of jewellery that awe me, hair products that work super fine for my hair, items that help to organize the home, sweet jars of body butter, essential oils, home décor, and yes, books.
Generally, I think of selling anything that catches my fancy and I am not a millionaire yet.
Now, this is a very serious battle for me because I have always hated the idea of “Jack of all trades.” I mean how in the world will one single person be selling kerosene, garri, fried noodles and egg, thrift wears, plastic buckets, and black-market petrol.
Look at me now, I’m conceiving the same idea I loathe and you will not blame me for trying to be a potential “Jack of all trade”
It is the times we are in that makes me see money in everything including your eyes (laughs).
Some days ago, I read about affiliate marketing and it is an almost similar concept to what I have in my head.
With affiliate marketing, I can sell sand, garri, shoes, and cars with little or no capital. All I need to do is reach out to a particular brand whose products interest me, agree on commission rates, test the product, find consumers for the products and I earn.
I think that’s a fair deal since I won’t be obliged to open a shop and fill it with goods that conflict with one another.
Are you scared of trying something in your head that has no name? Relax, there might be just a name or two for the idea in your head.
If you think your idea is too crazy to have a name, why not do yourself the honour of giving it a name. There’s nothing too strange or too new to try out. Ideas will always exist in the head until you harvest them and take steps to see them manifest.
I can’t wait to see you finding an existing name for your idea or giving your idea a name. May you experience your bloom when the time is right.
