Oluwakemisola Akintokun studied Law at Ambrose Alli University and was called to the Nigerian Bar 15 years ago.
After practising law, she decided to also follow her passion for well-tailored outfits, so she started her fashion business.
Today, she is the creative director of Isinomen Couture.
Isinomen Couture was created in 2014 under the label “Simplicity”, but she needed to define her brand as a total African brand so she renamed it, Isinomen Couture.
Isinomen is her Edo name which means ‘achiever, peacemaker, more attractive’
The aim of the brand is to create well-made outfits for their customers, and they have been doing this successfully for many years.
They hope to be on the International runway one day.
When she started, she had just two workers, but now they have ten workers who are passionate about meeting their customers’ fashion needs.
Isinomen Couture has become well known as a brand that creates bespoke bridal dresses, embellished wears, and unique outfits for men, women and children.
