At the Positive Parenting Academy, she teaches, trains and coaches Parents (particularly young parents who struggle to discipline their children), to understand and practice the right discipline so that they can stop shouting and flogging their children.
Parents are taught to deliver tangible transformation where they move from chaos to calm, connect better with their children, discipline effectively without resorting to shouting and flogging and ultimately thrive in their Parenting journey.
She uses her Signature solution framework – RCDT (Reflect, Clarify, Discover, Thrive). With this framework, Parents who strongly desire to practice healthier ways to discipline their children and still get positive results are able to do so easily.
Why She Started The Positive Parenting Academy
When we asked Boma why she started the Academy, she had this to say: For me it was simple. I wanted to break the cycle of how I was parented because I was practically reliving the experience.
I used the traditional discipline approach of shouting (mainly) and flogging but it was negatively affecting the relationship I had with my daughter. I knew there had to be a better way because one of my values was to raise my children in a non-toxic environment. So I sought the right knowledge and the rest is history
