About Hangoutwithtee
Hangoutwithtee is a free event for women. Its goal is to create an environment for women that is fun, interactive, educational, and inspiring.
This high-energy event attracts Lagos women between the ages of 18 and 45, including business and professional women, students, and stay-at-home mothers.
Why She Started Hangoutwithtee
When asked why she started Hangoutwithtee, she had this to say: My friends know that I spend every weekend hopping from one place to the next, and one of the places I go is to women’s conferences, seminars, and other events geared toward women. This is something I’ve been doing for more than ten years.
Apart from learning a lot and meeting great people at these events, I felt something was missing, and as a playful person, I wanted to be in a place where I could learn and have fun, which I didn’t find.
As a result, I created my own, though it was initially quite small. I hosted my first hang out at home, inviting a few successful women to speak to my friends and me, with music, dance competitions, food, and other activities. And, as a result of the positive feedback from the first event, I decided to expand it beyond my home.
I made it bigger and more interesting by bringing in brand sponsors (such as Sofy Sanitary Pad, 9ja Energy Drink, Tasty Cubes, Zaron, and others) who gave away their products for free to these women.
Since then, we’ve had six editions and are already working on the seventh.
Her advice to women: Women should simply learn how to have fun. You only have one life, so make the most of it. That should become your personal mantra.
How Her Work Is Changing Lives
At the end of each hangout, she receives a lot of positive feedback from attendees about how much fun and laughter they had.
When she sees women laughing and dancing at the event, which they haven’t done in years, it warms her heart.

Because they haven’t had a hangout in two years due to the pandemic, the 7th edition will be extra special.
The event’s theme is “Unwrap Am” which means that women must unwrap their gifts, use them, and live fully.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear great speakers as well as great poetry, music, rap, flute performance, and saxophone music, among other things.
There will also be many gifts from their brand sponsors, including free books from author Olukorede Yishau and free copies of the second edition of the Hangoutwithtee Magazine for both male and female attendees.
